New DAC from Merging Technologies for Home Audio Market

And soon Playback Designs will have DSD 256 in their products as well. So PD owners will be able to compare his DSD 128 and DSD 256 implementations. :)

Looking forward to it :)

Yet, I had meant the « implementations » inside a DAC product other than the processing chip itself. And since I couldn't find an internal NADAC photo for illustration, here's one of Marantz' NA-11S1 :

But it doesn't involve PCM decimation, according to Michal Jurewicz at Mytek.

Yes Hiro, that is my understanding as well, although the ESS 9018 data sheet itself is not entirely clear.

Dominique of Merging is appearing in an interview article of Japanese Magazine, "Net Audio".

(He came to Japan for Tokyo International Audio Show last month.)

He talks a lot on their policies and backgrounds of NADAC product realization.

To Hiro:

I guess you must be good at reading a Japanese web page and summarizing it into English. May I expect your translation?

Hi!

Does the Google-translated English make sense?

... Our basic policy surrounding sound of color with no solution,

what the place is like make does not feel the presence solutions.

In other words, it is that only devoted to the "mole". ...

私たちのサウンドにまつわる基本的なポリシーは色のないソリューション、

存在を感じさせないソリューションを作るといったところでしょうか。

つまり、あくまで「黒子」に徹するということですね。

My translation is like this;

... Our basic policy for a sound reproduction is "making a colorless solution", i.e.,

making such a solution that they do not feel our presence.

In other words, we should be accustomed to remaining in the background. ...

I ordered a stereo NADAC to use in my headphone listening station. It should be here next week. Looking forward to using it in front of the Mjölnir KGSSHV Carbon driving the Stax SR-009. I wanted something that took advantage of my gigabit network. Almost bought a Hapi last year, but glad now that this became available. It would be nice if MT's Emotion software ran on a Mac, but I can install it on my Baetis, pointing to the NAS and see how that runs. Should be fun.

All the toys are in my profile.
