Le Concombre Masqué Posted December 3, 2014 Share Posted December 3, 2014 HDTracks has recently started to offer Springsteen and Simon & Garfunkel as hires pcm releases and I can't recall seeing those albums offered as sacd so they would not be transferred from dsd. I don't think the Springsteen catalog was ever transferred to DSD/SACD. If someone knows differently, speak up. The labels, for reasons of their own, seem to have quite inconsistent policies about what they license and in what format. Sometimes stuff we know has been transferred to DSD and never released is not made available for digital download, even though there is almost no chance today that an SACD will ever be released. As a side note, noticed that AS doesn't even have, as of today, the PCM hi-res of Springsteen? I'm sure they'd be happy to sell it. Macbook Pro 2010->DLNA/UPNP fed by Drobo->Oppo BDP-93->Yamaha RXV2065 ->Panasonic GT25 -> 5.0 system Bowers & Wilkins 683 towers, 685 surrounds, HTM61 center ->Mostly SPDIF, or Analog out.
