New DAC from Audio Research: DAC 9 ?

I heard that the venerable DAC 8 from Audio Research is discontinued, and that a new DAC, which is (finally) DSD compatible will replace it.

This is all I heard.

anybody has some more news ? (availability date ? specs ? picture ? price...)

Yes, apparently the DAC 9 was introduced during last High End Audio in Munich in May.

 

 

Price is announced at 7,500 $, available end of June here in Europe at 8,990 €
