OTH, if I activate VPN only on my phone, I CAN play from the Tidal app. Is there a fix for this? You probably should not be using a VPN with Tidal in the first place your d/l speed is most likely marginal. Link to comment

No. It depends how VPN is implemented. I use the L2TP protocol with my VPN service (various options are available) and I get almost full download speed. YMMV. mQa is dead! Link to comment

Nets3
Have to report another issue, though - after having installed the April WIN 10 update, the Tidal app (also updated) emits awful, very loud popping noises during track pauses. Any ideas? BTW, there is no popping when using iTunes, VLC, Groove... Link to comment

RiseFall123
Hi, I have an awful problem with the playlists. If I modify a playlist from the desktop app it will mess the songs if I look to the same playlist in my iOS devices. If I change a playlist only in the iOS devices I have no problem at all. This happens with playlist with over than 100 songs. The only workaround I found is, when I work with the desktop app, to copy the actual playlist into a new one and delete the current. In this way the playlist is OK either in the desktop app and in the iOS devices. But is a bad life... Abtr
Yesterday I installed a Tidal desktop client update for the Mac. The whole app has changed! Streaming and sound settings (which I use quite often) are several extra mouse clicks away and I'm not sure if I like the new overall look. Anyway, a devastating change is that my favorites list is now ordered by *album title* (not artist) instead of by the date/time the album was added to my favorites (most recent albums on top), like it used to be. This is ridiculous! Am I supposed to know all the titles of the albums in this list? I can't find anything anymore. All the historical structure is gone, and I used to push certain (older) favorite albums to the top by removing them from my favorites and then adding them again, so my current albums of interest were always on top of the list. This simple but very convenient functionality was changed by some kid at Tidal into something utterly useless. Please Tidal, at least give me the option somewhere to order my favorites again by date/time added instead of by album title. Why sort by album title??? No one orders his/her music by album title! It s*cks! At the very least, order the list by artist first and then by album title. End of rant.. Current audio system Link to comment
Geoff1954
On the "MY Albums" page you should see three faint little dots in the top right hand corner. Click on them and you get choices about how to show the collection. Abtr 1 Link to comment

rodrigaj
Regarding the Tidal update. You used to be able to click on a thumbnail cover art and it would blow up. That is gone. Now you get album information. Click on the thumbnail that is included in the album information and you get nothing. The only way to get a large album cover is to click on the album while it is in the lower play queue, while it is playing! rodrigaj
I should also mention that I put in a bug report ticket to Tidal: Version 2.1.18.437 (W: 3.0.0--24) (NP: NA) Cover Artwork can no longer can be zoomed / expanded independently by clicking on the thumbnail. This is the response I got (so far): Hello, I have handed your ticket on over to our Tech Support agent for further investigation and follow-up. Fridolin
Playlists in the newly updated version display only 50 items, no matter how long the playlist really is. You can only scroll to the 50th item, then no further advance is possible any more . Link to comment

RiseFall123
1) the new desktop app (w10) has disabled the mouse scroller when i move a song up and down into a playlist. Awful. 2) i am the only one with (big) playlists sync issues between devices? Just making changing in the ipad and the same playlist is slightly different in the iphone and in the desktop app. Too bad. zoli
I have filed two bug reports so far and in both cases I received the very same email, both times from"Kevin". No other activities whatsoever. I honestly do not believe Tidal has a support, just an automatic reply. Btw I cannot currently play Hifi streams on my android app, if I set quality to high it starts playing. At the same time my friend on the same Huawei P10 phone and same network can. Without hifi quality Tidal has no use for me as in every other aspect Spotify is superior... Link to comment
rodrigaj
@zoli I think Kevin is a real person. He and I have communicated via email several times; specific attachment logs were requested by Kevin and instructions for finding these hidden files were given. He also asked specific questions regarding the behavior I wrote the ticket for. I shall remain optimistic. Johnseye
I can no longer connect to Tidal over cellular at any streaming quality level. Wireless is not a problem. I hard wiped my phone, installed only Tidal, same issue. I've had minor connectivity issues before, but nothing as bad as this. Audio System Link to comment

Johnseye
I also subscribe to Google Music for my family who aren't concerned about SQ. That works without issue. My next step is to install Tidal on my wife's phone and test. The Computer Audiophile 1 Audio System Link to comment
