calabuig
Hello. I have this problem: I use Audirvana 2.0.2 + M2Tech EVO DAC + OSX 10.9.2 Mavericks and when Audirvana plays a file with a "standard" resolution (16bit/44khz) and then a file with a different resolution (eg. 24bit/192kHz ), and vice-versa, the player stops and doesn't play the next file (with different resolution). The only way to restart it is to press the "stop" button: the audio device is "released" and the player begins to play any file type with any resolution. But every time I want to switch from files with different resolutions I have to press the stop button. Is it normal? Any suggestions? Link to comment
juliocat
You must disable Direct mode in Audio System Preferences, and be sure to disable limit max bitdepth to 24 instead of 32 to ensure Integer Mode Works. calabuig
Thanks for your fast reply... but if I disable Direct mode I lose the chance to bypass completely CoreAudio, including its low-level layers and the possibility to enable Integer Mode in Mavericks. Is it right? And above all...is it normal? Link to comment
juliocat
Direct mode is a hack Damien has to do with Mountain Lionn for Integer Mode to work, is no longer needed in Mavericks or Yosemite Hackintosh I7 16GB Ram, Roon, HQPlayer, Drobo 8 TB NAS, Raspberry Pi 3 NAA, Gustard X20 ES 9018 Xmos, Audio GD C39 Preamp, The First ONE DIY Amp, Monitor Audio GS20 Speakers, Monitor Audio RSW12 Subwoofer, PI Audio MagikBuss filter. Right? Link to comment
