Holberg
Hi guys My Logitech Media Server is giving me a hard time. Therefore I wish to uninstall it to make a new and clean installation. Can someone give me advise how to uninstall it :-) Thanks a lot in advance Chario Aviator Cielo | Norma Audio Revo IPA-70B | Merason frérot + Merason pow1 Volumio Rivo + iFi iPower Elite | Skinbjerg Audio Interconnects + Speaker Cables Supra Excalibur USB | MeiCord Opal + iFi LAN iSilencer | Power Cables 3x1.5 mm² Ansuz Mainz8 X | SD-Feet | Herbie’s Threaded Stud Gliders | Norstone Stabbl AV Link to comment
avta
It's been awhile since I used LMS but here's what I remember. Right click the program icon at the bottom of the Preferences window in System Preferences. This will bring up a " Remove " option which you will select. I believe that this will not remove all associated files however. I use a program called App Trap to remove all associated files when uninstalling programs. (AppTrap ) I'm sure there are others but I've had good luck with this one. Maybe others will have additional suggestions. Link to comment

I have also downloaded the AppTrap. When LMS is moved to the trash the AppTrap doesn´t give me a notification if I which to remove all associated files. Can I assume that everything is removed? avta
If you have App Trap installed when you uninstall a program a window appears asking if you want to move all files as we'll. If that window doesn't come up either all the files are in the trash or the program ( App Trap ) isn't working correctly. try uninstalling another app and see what happens. Link to comment

Holberg
Have tried with another app. Here a window appears asking if I wish to move all files. Must assume LMS is moved as well even though a window does´t appear. Thanks avta :-) Chario Aviator Cielo | Norma Audio Revo IPA-70B | Merason frérot + Merason pow1 Volumio Rivo + iFi iPower Elite | Skinbjerg Audio Interconnects + Speaker Cables Supra Excalibur USB | MeiCord Opal + iFi LAN iSilencer | Power Cables 3x1.5 mm² Ansuz Mainz8 X | SD-Feet | Herbie’s Threaded Stud Gliders | Norstone Stabbl AV Link to comment

wgscott
If you open a terminal and type in the command "mdfind Logitech" it will find the associated files. Then you can delete any remaining ones manually. Link to comment
