Moosbrugger
I'm about to build a media center. I plan to run a new circuit behind it for a quad receptacle box. While I'm at it, I wonder whether I should add a wall plate with a coax hookup (for cable), and perhaps Ethernet or USB? I don't have an NAS or other wired network in the house, but since I'm doing the work, it might be worthwhile to put in the plate so I can hookup stuff in the future. Any suggestions for what to use? wgscott
Install at cat6 cable. Or, better yet, two. Home Depot stuff is too brittle and can break. A reasonable quality is made by Belden, which you can get from Blue Jeans Cable. Link to comment
RealAudio
The magic is in the connectors, I'm partial to Panduit mini-coms. Link to comment
Moosbrugger
Any recommendations for what wall plate I should use? Is something like this sufficient? Right now, I'll only have a coax line for my cable tv connected to it. A Hudson Valley Home: Kichels -- A Recipe from the Old Country Link to comment
wgscott
I took a more pedestrian approach: (these are hidden behind a TV and a cabinet). Link to comment
