Nickm11
A friend game me an old G4 Powerbook that I'd like to turn into an audiophile music server. I'm finding it very difficult to find software to create the best sound for my system. Robertson 6010 amp, Chiro C800 preamp and Martin Logan Aerius I speakers. Thanx, Nick Link to comment
wgscott
Try Play 0.3. Play from sbooth.org also vox | MAC POWERPC Link to comment
flatmap
Pure Music supports PowerPC, but only back to 10.5, unfortunately. 2013 MacBook Pro Retina -> {Pure Music | Audirvana} -> {Dragonfly Red v.1} -> AKG K-702 or Sennheiser HD650 headphones. Link to comment
jtm
You can try to get an older version of Decibel from sbooth.org Good sound, basic user interface, not much processing needed. Link to comment

But his G4 Powerbook should be able to run 10.5 (Leopard). I ran that for years on my 1.67GHz G4 Aluminum PB. More responsive and reliable than Tiger (10.4). UpTone Audio LLC Link to comment
