jhwalker
Very interesting new recording of "American songbook" classics from this wonderful opera singer who has made a crossover career for herself over the past decade. The recording is fascinating in that it is recorded in a a so-called state of the art studio and eschews the artificially-reverberant "sweetening" typically used in these types of recordings - the soundscape is such that I felt I was sitting in a small recital hall with Stephanie, about 10-15 feet away. The feeling of being at a live recital in a small, intimate hall is startling. Very worthwhile if you like this kind of music.
