Mike Pinkerton
Through GooglePlay Music All Access, i've been exposed to hundreds and hundreds of hours of LSO recordings at 320kbps, which is simply wonderful. As I get more into high-res music, I see the recordings are released on SACD. However, the downloads on their site are only iTunes lossy AAC (!!). Where does one get non-lossy versions of the SACDs for download? I saw Society of Sound has downloads with subscriptions, but it's random and you don't get to choose what you want. HDTracks has some, but most of the LSO Live series isn't there. Or should I just buy the redbook CDs and leave SACD for the golden ears that can hear the difference between red and green cables? -mike Link to comment

Musicophile
Qobuz has quite a bit, but is not yet available in the US to my knowledge. I have heard rumors about Qobuz wanting to enter the US market, but I'm not sure if this was only for the lossless streaming service or also for highres downloads. lso dans les albums à télécharger en qualité CD (Lossless), Studio Masters – Filtré par LSO Live Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment
Axiom05
I notice that HDTracks does have a few of the LSO Live albums available. I am assuming that the OP was referring to the LSO Live series. flatmap
So far as I can see, LSO is largely just available in redbook. As you say, there are a few titles avaialable in high res. I don't think it's a bad idea to communicate your interest directly to LSO. 2013 MacBook Pro Retina -> {Pure Music | Audirvana} -> {Dragonfly Red v.1} -> AKG K-702 or Sennheiser HD650 headphones. The Classical Shop Wow, there are a lot of LSO Live 24/96 downloads here, thank you so much! Certainly more than on HDTracks. Unfortunately the compilation albums (eg, Beethoven symphonies 1-9) is only CD quality. Alas! Thanks everyone, I'll keep my eye out for the upcoming releases! -mike Link to comment
Russell_L
Hyperion Records has recently started selling hi-res LSO Live downloads: LSO Live - Hyperion Records - CDs, MP3 and Lossless downloads Their prices are much better than The Classical Shop's, I might add (not to mention MUCH faster download speeds). There's also a very small handful available at ProStudioMasters.
