ajvare
Chris, I have found this site to be terrific and very detailed but I'm struggling with information overload on selecting a ADC for my vinyl archiving project. I'm reluctant to ask a question that might be answered somewhere else but it seems that ADCs are discussed in various places and under various names; it would be very helpful to have a thread dedicated to this topic. THanks for a great site/resource Link to comment
audiozorro
Obviously there are more threads on D/A than A/D, but just use the search feature on ADC, vinyl archiving or whatever. This site like many others is somewhat free-form so you should always use the search features to find or narrow your particular interests. You can always start a new forum topic so just ask away or post any comments. If you're looking for specific advice and recommendations, it's usually helpful if you provide some details such as Mac or Windows, preferred and absolute budgets, amount of vinyl to be digitized, and what have you tried so far. Are you interested in digitizing to 16/44.1, 24/96, 24/192 or DSD? What are your current audio and computer systems and what do you feel is lacking or you need? On average how much time do you have to devote to this endeavor per week? Link to comment
