davide256
I've found in using a PC as media NAS that these things matter 1.Run the OS on SSD, else playback is "blah" 2. optimized Win server 2012 is better than the other windows OS's for fidelity 3. running the SSD off battery power removes haze and edge getting me closer to an "analog" sound 4. media servers sound different, affect overtone harmonic correctness and low bass reach. I am curious if anyone has tried on a Synology NAS using SSD as first drive with remaining drives as a separate RAID and using a battery power source? Regards, Dave Audio system Link to comment
