jtm
June 27th wil be the release date of the 20th Anniversary Box Set of Pink Floyd's Division Bell. The Boxset will include, next to remastered vinyl versions and other stuff, a Blu-ray Disc with 96kHz/24bit content of the album in 2ch plus a new 5.1ch Dolby mix by Andy Jackson. The 2ch tracks of the Blu-ray disc have been remastered by James Guthrie, the vinyl is sourced from the original analog master tapes and have been remastered by Doug Sax. jtm
Synfreak, from what I have heard the DVD will only contain the 5.1 mix in Dolby, not PCM, and will not be available in regular retail channels but only through the fanshop. Link to comment

Most likely true. For the DSOTM box, the DVD was in 5.1, 2.0 and 4.0 both at 640k and 448k AC3. Only the BD had LPCM 5.1, 4.0 and 2.0. Link to comment

Synfreak
Ok, someone has got his copy of the fanshop "Surround" DVD, and there actually is a stereo mix included (see: Pink Floyd's Division Bell Box Set* | Page 22 | Steve Hoffman Music Forums ) And the DR ratings for the 96khz/24bit download (which should be identical with the Blu-Ray version) have been postet too: Album details - Dynamic Range Database Esoterc SA-60 / Foobar2000 -> Mytek Stereo 192 DSD / Audio-GD NFB 28.38 -> MEG RL922K / AKG K500 / AKG K1000 / Audioquest Nighthawk / OPPO PM-2 / Sennheiser HD800 / Sennheiser Surrounder / Sony MA900 / STAX SR-303+SRM-323II Link to comment
gnomus
Downloaded it from Qobuz. Extremely disappointed. Harsh trebles that are painful to listen to. Not been able to get more than a few tracks into the album without having to seek relief. Will be sticking to my CD rip. Link to comment

jtm
The harsh treble / ringing is described here as well: http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f14-music-analysis-objective-and-subjective/pink-floyd-division-bell-96-24-a-20961/ Link to comment
