Pink Floyd - The Division Bell (96/24) soon available

June 27th wil be the release date of the 20th Anniversary Box Set of Pink Floyd's Division Bell.

 

The Boxset will include, next to remastered vinyl versions and other stuff, a Blu-ray Disc with 96kHz/24bit content of the album in 2ch plus a new 5.1ch Dolby mix by Andy Jackson.

 

The 2ch tracks of the Blu-ray disc have been remastered by James Guthrie, the vinyl is sourced from the original analog master tapes and have been remastered by Doug Sax.

At least there will be a DVD with the 5.1 mix available seperately:

from what I have heard the DVD will only contain the 5.1 mix in Dolby, not PCM, and will not be available in regular retail channels but only through the fanshop.

 

Most likely true. For the DSOTM box, the DVD was in 5.1, 2.0 and 4.0 both at 640k and 448k AC3. Only the BD had LPCM 5.1, 4.0 and 2.0.

someone has got his copy of the fanshop "Surround" DVD, and there actually is a stereo mix included (see: Pink Floyd's Division Bell Box Set* | Page 22 | Steve Hoffman Music Forums )

 

And the DR ratings for the 96khz/24bit download (which should be identical with the Blu-Ray version) have been postet too:
