Which sub for Adam Audio Artist5 monitors?

I am looking at a sub for my Adam Artist 5 monitors.

 

 

 

I am looking at the Adam Sub7 [or Artist sub7] which I assume are identical except maybe the finish.

 

 

 

Would I be better off with the Sub8 and its lower bass extension?

 

 

 

How would be the best way to connect this sub?

 

Should I connect the monitors to the outputs on the sub thus bypassing the low frequencies to the monitors completely or is there a better way?

 

 

 

Any other subs to consider?

Unless you have a multi-channel DAC, using the sub to pass higher frequencies through to the satellites is probably the next best method.
