I'm not sophisticated enough to electronically evaluate the provenance and veracity of hi res digital downloads. Have any of you guru's ever downloaded from ProStudioMasters? Are the files as advertised?

They are selling the same hi-res files as the other hires sites-your chances of real/fake hi-res are the same as the other hi-res download sites.

In this last few months they really started to expand their catalog. I was led to buy several albums from them because they sometimes seem to get albums that aren't available in other American & Canada stores until a week later. For example theres a lot of Blue Note stuff I downloaded that first showed on the European stores Quboz and Highresaudio which aren't available in the US, then a week later Prostudiomasters has them and then a week or two later SuperHiRez and HDtracks gets them. They also provide 10% off discounts every week.

 

The only downsides are that their servers are slow, and you can only download 1 file at a time. And I don't like the way they name the folders and filenames of the downloads. But I don't mind buying from them.
