wgscott
Thanks. Just got REM Unplugged $40 for 24/44.1, vs. $13 for the CD on Amazon. I screwed up. Link to comment
new_media
$40 for 24/44.1, vs. $13 for the CD on Amazon. I screwed up. Thankfully I ordered the CD from Amazon before I realized this was on HDtracks. Even better, $18.99 for the MP3 album on Amazon, $13.88 for the CD with an instant download of the MP3 album. Link to comment
wgscott
Yeah, I saw that too. At least you can blame it on automation. Link to comment
Boris75
$40 for 24/44.1, vs. $13 for the CD on Amazon. I screwed up. Could'nt the sonic improvement in the extra 8 bits be worth $27? I am writing this half-seriously. I recently purchased the recent SHM SACDs of Tchaikovsky's last 3 symphonies by Mravinsky with DG, and they are vastly superior to the CDs, so much that in my view the large price gap is justified. wgscott
I doubt it. Old live acoustic recordings. Maybe I should check it with fbits. Link to comment
wgscott
It checks out. All the files are at least consistent with being 24 bit (Julf reminds me that this is not proof, but at least it is consistent.) Link to comment
