dalethorn
Like the SRH-440, the SRH-840 is a nearly ideal sound signature. Unlike the SRH-440, the SRH-840 is smoother, has better build quality, and greater comfort. This is a headphone I highly recommend. But may not fit large heads. TheRocker
A little late on this one, but thanks for the review, especially the comparison to the SRH-440 which I have and find to be very good sound for the money. I do find they get a pressure point from the headband on the top of my head after a while but that may just be the shape of my head! Good to see your review used a couple of tracks I am familiar with (Iron Man and Lowdown) too, thanks. Peter Link to comment

Thank you. The headband thing is so common, it begs for a better design for a lot of headphones. I just pull the earcups down slightly more to take some of the pressure off, but that only works if you keep your head very still. Link to comment
