wgscott
Anyone have this? I see HDtracks has a 24/48 version, which is presumably the same as what comes on the DVD. Here is a review in the Independent: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/the-concept-album-makes-surprise-top-ten-return-with-neolithic-opus-from-jethro-tulls-ian-anderson-9268339.html Link to comment
wgscott
I took the gamble, and it paid off. Excellent, so far. If you like flute and Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), you will probably appreciate it. Audio_ELF
I love this... (from a 1993 interview but I've heard it elsewhere too) Are you still developing musically? Absolutely. I learned four months ago from my 14-year-old daughter that I've played the flute wrong all these years, that I was using entirely incorrect fingering. So I got someone to fax me a fingering chart when I was doing promotion in India, and after much debate I decided to relearn the flute, and I really had to persevere. I still play quite a few wrong notes each night, but I'll be all right in a few more weeks. Eloise Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
Paul R
I liked it, but it sure is a different type of music than the old stuff. It is far calmer and simpler (?) than say, Stormwatch. I rather liked it, while Karen was kind of left cold about it. Except for _Pax Britannia_, which we both thought was pretty darn good. A lot like _The Secret Language of Birds_ to me. I think it is worth the purchase, but it may disappoint hardcode Jethro Tull fans. -Paul Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat DAC. Robert A. Heinlein Link to comment
