I want to confirm . . .

I have Mac/JRiver/MyTek using FireWire.

Can someone confirm that 2XDSD upsampling in JRiver is not supported using FireWire but is with USB.

Hi Mark - Thought I had sent this to you, but not sure. Is MyTek now saying that it isn't supported? Check page 68 in the PDF linked below.

JRiver Media Center Installation

Mytek recommends the use of Firewire, as it is a true streaming format. If you do not have

Firewire please continue to USB2.0 Setup.

the JRiver Media Center Application. Typically the .DMG will be found in the Downloads

Official email reply from Mytek on this topic, Nov. 11, 2013:

While we are working at DSD128 via FW, DoP on PC to work, it isn't supported yet.

To sum up supported is:

DSD128 via USB 2.0 (ASIO) on PC.

DSD128 via USB 2.0, DoP on PC.

DSD128 via FW, DoP on Mac.

So the opposite is true. It is supported on a MAC, isn't supported via FW on a PC, only via USB on PC.

Main listening (small home office):

Main setup: Surge protector +_iFi  AC iPurifiers >Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Conditioning+Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three >GIK Room Treatments.
