Thoughts on Liztic?

Recommended Posts

I have been using Audirvana for about a year and love it. I also have the Onkyo HF Player on my iOS, but was looking for a better portable solution so I am trying Liztic.

Anyone else giving it a try?

From Radiohead to Little Feat and Bach

For jazz, classical, country and rock

I thank the Pioneer, the Mac and the Holy Peachtree

For keeping the volume higher than me

Liztic app on IOS. Just released this week. Its free to start. Fantastic. 192/24 over iPhone lightening bypassing the internal DAC. Takes songs off google drive, dropbox, local network, NAS, local iPhone storage to NAS. Also avail on OSX.

Works seamlessly. OSX version is better than Audionirvana and Amarra from my use of it this week in that its without drops and bugs.

Thx

Sam

How do you get the music onto a portable IOS device for play when you are off the network (e.g., on a plane)? If it can stream from a NAS, that's great but JRiver can do that across Mac and PC platforms. If it is going to replace the Onkyo HF there needs to be a way to move music files onto the IOS device itself, no?

You can use the Liztic desktop app, available for Mac and PC, to manage the content on your iOS device. Actually, when you have a library on your Mac or PC, you can also "pull" the music from your desktop to your iOS device.

I invite you to download and try out Liztic for free with a Basic account, the apps are available on: http://www.liztic.com

I have tried to make the program work. It doesn't. Help info is almost nonexistent. Several emails to Liztic support have gone unanswered.

No info to be found regarding how you "pull" music from your computer to your portable device.

Despite both devices, my laptop and my ipad showing up in the Liztic app for each device, no music from my laptop has actually made it to my iPad. Also per the Liztic app on my laptop some music that is actually on my laptop exists on the iPad and NOT on my laptop based upon the location of the green dots in the manage screen.

At the end of the day I don't even care that much about the ability to sync. I simply want a way to get my high res music files from my laptop to my iPad and iPhone and then play them.

So far Liztic is not up to the task.
