TubeLover
I recently discovered that song and bought that album (within the last year)...it's amazing how much different their early stuff was. The early Genesis releases were often brilliant and completely different than the "pop" albums they later put out with Phil Collins singing lead. Foxtrot, Nursery Crime, and especially Selling England By The Pound provided some of the finest music of the art rock period. Interestingly, the very first album released, after Peter Gabriel left, and the Phil Collins led Genesis continued on, Wind and Wuthering is eerily similar to the previous efforts by the band and Peter. It was after that when they went in a completely different direction. JC Link to comment
