talinho
Hello, To get a more compact installation than my current "TC BMC-2 + Genelec 8020A" combination, i'm looking for some active speakers with optical input and DAC inside. I aldready found this : - ELAC AM 180 - Genelec 8130 APM Do you know these ? Do you know similard speakers ? Thanks ! Link to comment
mayhem13
So you want to eliminate the TC? If so, you'll be hard pressed to find an internal DAC with the jitter correction of the BMC, something to consider of your only available digital interface is optical. Link to comment
talinho
You're right... Does anybody know about such a DAC ? Link to comment
mayhem13
Have you determined that your optical source has a high or objectionable level of jitter? Link to comment
bbfoto
I have the Neumann KH-120 and love them (I have the standard analog input set). Supposedly they have a version with digital input, but I don't see them listed anywhere for sale, I have just seen them on the Neumann web site and in the user/instruction manual that came with my set. (You can download the user manual). Link to comment

Audio_ELF
Kef X300A The KEF doesn't have an optical in does it? Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
unsleepable
You are right! My bad… [emoji15] Anyways, QT Acoustics BT3. Rather powered than active, though. Link to comment
