ClassicalDJ
I have read that an Oppo 105 can accept (and play gaplessly, I assume) multichannel DSD from a PC over an HDMI connection. Is this also true for my Oppo 103. If so, what are the PC requirements (I will be using foobar2000) to allow this? I do realize that USB is preferable to HDMI due to jitter issues, but products like the exaSound e28 are currently rare and expensive. Link to comment

They have the same internal Dac... the SABRE (I think) I have both a 105 and an e28. Luv em both: But two different approaches. You beauty. Can now have DSD surround in 2 rooms. ClassicalDJ
FYI, gapless is a must for me, as I listen primarily to classical. I disliked using USB sticks and streaming prior to purchasing the TEAC UD501; now I would like to have the same capability for multichannel PCM and DSD files. Link to comment

Gapless is a big problem with the Oppo.. A well known problem ..if you want Gapless DSD it's the e28 with A+ or JRiver..
