Pat Metheny Unity Group - Kin from HD Tracks 24-96

Got this with a discount. Just listened to the online samples and took a shot. Am listening now. Sounds pretty good. Doesn't seem to have a lot of hi-res content, which is a bit suspicious.

Apparently this is somewhat compressed, but it doesn't have that "compressed" sound.

I downloaded it yesterday and listened to it. For me it sounds ok but not fantastic. Sounds a little veiled. Pat Metheny already made records which sounded better than this one! But I like the music.

Too bad for us. The music is very, very good, but the recording/mixing/mastering is really too "hot". The cymbals are just a noisy thing. Ted Jensen is just not my favorite... I wish Pat was still recording with ECM!
