gmgraves
I must say, that the engineers at WCRB did a magnificent job on Ravel's Daphnis et Chloe Ballet. This was not only the best performance (Haitink conducting) of this work I think I've ever heard (and I have a number of renditions including one that I recorded myself), and it sounded great as well (MP3 notwithstanding), with tremendous dynamic contrasts, a velvet black background and startling crescendos. If you didn't hear it live, I recommend that you go to: The Boston Symphony Orchestra in Concert And listen to the streaming broadcast immediately! You can skip the first part of the concert, but don't miss the Daphnis et Chloe. You will thank me later! George Link to comment
