External hard Drive-itunes

I have a XP connected wirelessly to a router Just connected a WD 1TB NAS ethernet HD to the router. I moved my Itunes lossless music according to the procedures layed out on your site. Great help but I do have a problem. When I went to Itunes/Edit/Preferences/Advanced and changed the Itunes music folder location, this will default back to the orginal itunes location every time I reboot the PC. Then I need to go back in change the location back to the directory located on the External NAS HD, Itunes thens starts running through the consolidate libraray procedure etc. I know this is something so basic to fix I just need the ans so I can kick myself... How do I get itunes from changing the Itunes music folder location when I reboot.
