Best sounding OS or optimization for JRMC?

After trying more than 10 media players, I have chosen JRMC just because I like the interface and the app to control it. My next question is which OS maximizes it's potential?

Just my opinion-

 

MacOS sounds best with the least work

 

Windows provides the most options, including video and such

 

Linux has a lot of potential to be the best sounding of all, but is in a very early stage at this point in time. Not really usable for a primary music server.
