Daverz
Don't really know this composer so much - is it worth buying… I normally grab anything Aho, but hesitated over a theremin concerto. I'd start at the beginning: Amazon.com: Aho: Symphony No. 1; Violin Concerto: Music Link to comment
Daverz
Track 2 "Profundo" in today's album of symphonies by Brazilian composer Guarnieri is excellent and is only $1.40. I don't care much for the rest of the album. You only listen to the second movement of a symphony? I highly recommend the whole Guarnieri series on Bis. Link to comment
Daverz
Can anyone provide any insight on the Glazunov complete symphonies package that is currently on sale for USD 20.18? I'm tempted, but ... I'd recommend the Serebrier recordings. Link to comment
Daverz
Daverz, which Glazunov symphony do you consider most interesting? 6, maybe? 5 is probably the most recorded. I'll have to do a listening survey of all 9 to refresh my memory. Link to comment
