silverlight
I made the mistake of accidentially buying an album that's encoded 24/88.2, but my equipment handles only 16/44.1 or 24/96. Anyone know if it's possible (or would even sound good) to upsample the tracks? Thanks! Link to comment
John
Yes and yes (assuming it's not a sacd you bought). Audacity, or similar, is free and will convert the files to 24/96 easily. - John. Link to comment
Synfreak
If you are on windows, that one might do it for you: http://www.voxengo.com/product/r8brain/ But keep the original files for futere reference! silverlight
Thanks both - I'll try Audacity since I'm on the MAc, and failing that I'll give r8brain a go via Parallels or bootcamp. Thanks! Link to comment
silverlight
Thanks again, ended up using r8brain via Parallels as it was so easy to configure (just converted to WAV before and after using XLD). Now up and running! Link to comment
