sputnik
Found this site offering free sample 24 bit 96 khz downloads: http://www.2l.no/2L.htm But, Im having problems making them play properly through iTunes (works fine thru VLC but I would prefer everything in one place). I followed my usual conversion routine, which works like a charm for regular 16 bit 44 khz FLAC files downloaded from places like Linn etc. Link to method below: http://earpick.wordpress.com/2007/06/11/how-to-play-flac-in-itunes-on-mac/ Any brainiacs here who could point me in the right direction? Thanks in advace, Link to comment
The Computer Audiophile
Looking at it right now. Ouch, the download of the 24/96 flac stuff is going to take an hour. Have you tried any other formats from this site, such as the DFF/DSD one? Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
sputnik
I just tried the FLAC 'cause I thought I had a way to port it to iTunes..... may play with the others tonight.... Link to comment
The Computer Audiophile
This worked for me the first time. I used the application MAX and set it to convert the flac file to AIFF, then added it to my iTunes library. It shows up as 24/96 and plays perfect. Are you still having problems? I'll help where I can, just let me know. Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
