If you are running redbook material it will send bit perfect data. If you are sending anything else it will be resampled to 44.1/16 and then sent over the WIFI this way to the Airfoil client.

Because Gordon, I dont have deep pockets like you. I am putting all my bux back into the business and expensive new test gear is a luxury right now. It will come with time. It's not like I dont want it. In the mean-time, my ears are doing a pretty good job.

Hi,

 

I was wondering if there was any new information on the possibility of sending up to 24/96 material from a mac in one room to a USB dac in another room via wireless USB?

 

From what I've read on this forum, issues include:

-Bad power supplies on the wireless USB hub introduce noise

-Bad audio drivers on the wireless USB hub introduce high amounts of jitter

Came across playGo USB that does exactly this 'a wireless usb dac' - and it's geared at audiophiles!

Detailed specs over at www.playGo.us but it has a nice digital out and an analog out all at 96/24, the price is not cheap but definitely within reach.
