Tonto
I use two 3m Toslink in my system. They were the cheapest/skinnest I could find. Are there any advantages (beside build quality) to more expensive cables? Has anyone changed a toslink cable and noticed a sonic difference? What do you guys use? BTW I'm in the if it sounds better it is better camp. davidR
What is the minimum distance the cable could be? Do you need two of them? david is hear[br]http://www.tuniverse.tv Link to comment
Tonto
I prefer 3m as they go from the PS3 and SKY Box that is under the TV to the speakers which are ADM9.1 with internal DAC. Shorter would mean I compromise spacing of the speakers. For the sake of the question though 1m-3m. davidR
The Van Den Hul Octocoupler gets really solid reviews, but it is around $160 for the 3M version which is a highly unreasonable buy especially since you'd have to purchase two at that price. A really good budget cable that has glass fibers instead of plastic like most cheaper ones is: http://www.uniqueproductsonline.com/gltodiopca.html They have a 3.6m for $30. Much more reasonable. david is hear[br]http://www.tuniverse.tv Link to comment
