I just discovered a new gem from Down Under: Sarah McKenzie.

Those three are re-writing the book on harmony. Huge fan.

 

Saw Sarah J here in Houston about three months ago, she was excellent. Posted a month or two back with a video of a workshop done by Sarah J, Chris Thile, and Aoife on vocals and singing. It's cool to hear them talk about the art of singing.

 

On another note, the new Camila Meza is excellent if you are looking for Jazz vocal.

Indeed, that is a VERY strong recording and performance Nikhil.  Much more than just a pretty face or voice, she really carries the performance and rocks!  If you dig that, go find this EP, you will not be disappointed.

New Lizz Wright on the horizon next month, the first couple singles are very promising.  Thanks to @Musicophile for mentioning Cecile McLorin Salvant with a new album soon, will look out for that.
