A disturbing trend here

I don't find the trend disturbing, but refreshing.

 

If the involved (read guilty) parties had behaved, then it would not have been necessary.

 

Shutting down certain threads is just steering the conversation back to the refreshing open, honest forum this started out to be.

 

You don't have to read any further than this thread: http://www.computeraudiophile.com/content/Do-Equipment-Reviews-Help-You to see the group that imbibes a certain manufacturers bathwater, and perhaps their own, and does there best to discourage others from relaying well founded industry science, and carefully described personal experiences that differ from their own.

 

I disagree with others that think this group of vocal self righteous folks are helping newbies by answering their questions. Covert advertising is all that it is. There are plenty other honest well meaning folks that will give good advice.
