The Sound Archeology Digital Remastering Process

Came across this yesterday. It promises master tape quality or better ....all remastered sound from a cd.

If the picture on http://www.sa3.com/biography.cfm is correct, they do some very heavy DSP. Almost like adding vibrato. As bit imperfect as possible.

Why not just "expand" it digitally and convert to 24-bit? This will get you better sound quality and more dynamics. Adobe Audition will do this.

 

In fact, why not just upsample to 24/96 or 24/192 with Adobe Audition?
