JMD54
If you have the uncontrollable urge to use an outboard LPS then look for a D1 or a standard U1. Ralf11 1 Link to comment
JMD54
No one of them is an input. Try the one closest to the Ethernet jack. Link to comment
JMD54
Where specifically are you finding these "meh" reviews? I own one and I find it works and sounds great and I have also owned Lumin too. Link to comment
JMD54
And what he described was the functionality of a Lumin streamer whose app it uses and operates the same way. The differences being the addition of the headphone output and the ability to use it as a DAC. I have owned a Lumin so I was well aware of how it operated and also bothered to read the manual prior to making the purchase. If that was what you chose to make a purchase decision on then your choice. Link to comment
JMD54
The Rothwell attenuators will get you a long way to solving your problem without doing any harm to the sound. Link to comment
JMD54
Did you put the Lumin in the place of another device with the network up and running? Just swap one for another? Link to comment
JMD54
If you put the Lumin in place of a working device on the switch in the Audio Room then the Router will still be looking for the device you took out. Link to comment
JMD54
When it happened to me with the Teac NT-505 (also runs Lumin software) I had to turn the Teac off, go into the router settings and tell it to forget the Teac as a device then re-boot everything in order. It then gave the Teac a new IP address and everything has worked fine since then. Why that worked I don't know but I tried everything up that point including hooking the Lumin straight to the router but nothing worked until I removed it and let the network find it again from scratch. JMD54
Gus If I remember what Peter told someone on another forum correctly it was to open that imported playlist in the Lumin app and then save it as a Lumin playlist and see if you can add to it then. Link to comment
JMD54
If by local you mean it is now a Lumin playlist then yes. At least that's the way I understood the explanation. Link to comment
JMD54
@tony22 As rodrigaj said try both the Esoteric and Teac apps as they are much earlier versions of the Lumin app and were more general purpose than the current version which is aimed at the newer Lumin products and features. Shouldn't really matter which one of them you try as they are about the same age though the Teac may be a bit older. They both offer the basic features. Link to comment
JMD54
Log out of Qobuz and back in inside the Lumin app and they should return. Link to comment
