You can parse the words any way you like, referring to a file format as "garbage" that requires a careful A/B comparison of the same material to distinguish from the file format one thinks of as hifi is hyperbole. And a straw man argument is creating an easy position to attack that did not come from the opposition, but from the attacker.

 

There was no straw man here.
