But sometimes musicians succeed in distilling the essence of an existing song and working out the idea of the original even better. An example for this is imho Yello's Lost Again covered by Moby. He created a slow motion version of the song (similar to Peter Gabriel's version of Heroes lasker98 posted above) which is very different from the original. The song has now a new dramaturgy with two peaks at 2:38 min and 3:58 min. Not a song to dance to, but something to inhale tone by tone. Go where you feel most alive. Link to comment
