AudioDoctor
I guess I will need to get one of these and use it when I am traveling. Anyone plug a pair of Grados into it yet? It should drive them sufficiently well, but it would be nice to know for sure. No electron left behind. Link to comment
AudioDoctor
It will. I started with the volume on full and it took an hour to get my ears to stop bleeding. Sorry to hear that Bill. I hope there was no permanent damage. No electron left behind. Link to comment

AudioDoctor
As Edward Abbey would say, "he had a tendency to over-exaggerate." I figured you were, so I thought I would respond accordingly... No electron left behind. Link to comment
AudioDoctor
Also, it works great with this as a volume, etc, control: It allows me to do everything from one knob: That looks cool, now I just have to figure out a use for it so I can justify buying it. AudioDoctor
Blue Jeans Cable and AudioQuest both sell cables terminated at one end with a minijack and the other end with RCA jacks. Monoprice does too... No electron left behind. Link to comment
AudioDoctor
I have a bunch of them. I'll send you one if you want. I use them to twiddle molecules around in molecular graphics display programs. how long is that offer good for? I am in the middle of moving at the moment and everything is in chaos here. The boxes have taken over and mail seems to be a bit wonky at the moment. No electron left behind. Link to comment

AudioDoctor
Mahalo - I don't see the Dragonfly or the Halide on those pages. The concept page was the most interesting. Does anyone know how the Dragonfly should sound compared to the Halide Design Dac Hd? Will these new advanced, lower priced products, put pressure on the pricing of older products, or do you think they be able to stand on there own a while longer at any price? You will have to go to those companies websites if you would like to learn about them. I think you should buy both, and return the one you don't like. No electron left behind. Link to comment
AudioDoctor
Oooookay.... is it just me, or do those thingamajigs look like they are filled with beer to other people too? A bitters perhaps... -Paul The "beer" even appears to have some "head" No electron left behind. Link to comment
AudioDoctor
Why don't the DF to sit flush? Is there a way to make it flush? The cable weights down the DF. Do you have anything positive to say about it? No electron left behind. Link to comment
AudioDoctor
Anyone tested this little guy using the USB out of a modified Squeezebox Touch? Might be a killer little streamer dac @ $500. That is a cool idea! No electron left behind. Link to comment
AudioDoctor
BOO-YA! After more than a little mucking about, I'm listening to Alison Krauss with mpd running on FreeBSD through the Dragonfly. The sound is worth it. NICE! I think I may get one for travelling. No electron left behind. Link to comment
AudioDoctor
Highly recommended for that purpose - access to over 1000 tunes thru my laptop made a couple of cross-country plane trips go by in a flash. And a simple aux cable will run it through most car stereos. I detest flying, but that may make it bearable. edit: actually, I detest flying on airline planes, and passing through TSA checkpoints. I actually love flying itself, and would rather have my own plane. No electron left behind. Link to comment
