orgel
Something particularly great about this endeavor is that it gives people a chance to hear a very good version of the Goldberg Variations with better than adequate sound for nada. It might get people to listen to it and realize what a wonderful piece of music it is, that would never have otherwise. Exactly! As much as anything, snobbishness is helping to kill appreciation for and performance of classical music. Cutbacks in public funding, collapse of symphony orchestras and other classical music organizations in smaller communities, the aging of the audience -- it's all very depressing, and an elitist attitude doesn't help. (And I say this with all due respect.) --David Listening Room: Mac mini (Roon Core) > iMac (HQP) > exaSound PlayPoint (as NAA) > exaSound e32 > W4S STP-SE > Benchmark AHB2 > Wilson Sophia Series 2 (Details) Office: Mac Pro > AudioQuest DragonFly Red > JBL LSR305 Mobile: iPhone 6S > AudioQuest DragonFly Black > JH Audio JH5 Link to comment
