hudesigns
Thanks. i deleted foo_input_dsdiff.dll as sugested. foobar upnp streaming behaved the same. it streams dff files at 192 khz unless you include a semi-colon in the dff file names. for some reason, semi-colon forces it to stream at 176.4 khz. sounds voodoo but its true. Foobar plays dff and sacd iso at 176.4 khz without any issue. It just does not stream @ 176.4 khz via its built-in upnp server unless you perform the semi-colon trick! Link to comment
eman24
synfreak - When I double click on foo_dsd_asio (ASIO driver selection), the pop-up allows me to select the ASIO Driver which is "Mytek STEREO192-DSD DAC ASIO". Link to comment
eman24
To clarify, I assumed ASIO: foo_dsd_ asio was already selected as the Output device. Point three to select DSD Playback Method. Link to comment

Synfreak
Angelo: There are many many threads and posts on "how to ..." get around it. But try: http://download.yamaha.com/api/asset/file/?language=en&site=europe.yamaha.com&asset_id=59782 This is a quite good and detailed manual getting you around the whole setup. Just "replace" the Yamaha driver-entries/names with the Mytek ones, and you should be able to get it going Esoterc SA-60 / Foobar2000 -> Mytek Stereo 192 DSD / Audio-GD NFB 28.38 -> MEG RL922K / AKG K500 / AKG K1000 / Audioquest Nighthawk / OPPO PM-2 / Sennheiser HD800 / Sennheiser Surrounder / Sony MA900 / STAX SR-303+SRM-323II Link to comment
angelo
thanks a lot. do you play .iso images from ps3 ripped sacd with your mytek by foobar? can foobar extract from .iso images pure dsd data stream? do you use usb 2.0 in? do you like them? does mytek solve all the problems with current firmware for his dac? a lot of questions sir....but many many many thanks! Synfreak
Hi Angelo, I extract the stereo tracks to *.dsf files for playback - because of their tagging posibilities. ISOs are only played for testing and evaluation purposes, but it works. I do use the USB2 connection to my Mytek., and I'm able to play DSD without problems. There _might_ be some smaller glitches with the actual software/firmware versions, but nothing to give me headaches (anymore...). Synfreak
Thanks...how can you extract .dsf files from .iso? I know foobar does it by iself... Extraction is handled by the following software: sacd_extract_0.3.7_WIN32.zip - sacd-ripper - SACD Extract 0.3.7 (WIN32) - SACD ripping software using a PS3 - Google Project Hosting For Ted's guide / "how to" use that link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/1syTPLOlvmMz2ii_IvZx3unLwNRP7oTatKA0bEkwDPJMd0mc0W5nsOUnwyTd4/edit So...I pray no problem from mytek...but...do you enjoy its way to play native dsd? Can it depend by pc poor configuration? thanks a lot Link to comment
Synfreak
is the sound the same from the .iso converted by foobar and the .dsf files extracted? Yes, but playing the ISOs directly may cause higher cpu activity because of the used "DST" compression/packing. (DST is an packing algorythm like i.e. WinRAR or WinZIP, and is used on many SACDs - in most cases the ones which also contain a multichannel programm/layer) So, I tend to extract to *.dsf and keep the ISOs as backups ... do you have heard glitches in your system? Can it depend by pc poor configuration? Currently not, but it really can depend on configuration (i.e. buffers) and system power/speed.
