USB 2.0 isolators that work

Quest

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I know the topic of USB isolators have come up abit, but my question is for isolators that are confirmed to work to solve ground issues, and for normal peripherals (not to be used with the DAC).

My PC is hooked up to various USB devices via long cables - e.g. PC to USB Hub 15m away via a monoprice usb cable. Oddly enough, this produces a minor ground noise in my system. When I floated the ground pin on the power cord of my usb hub, this was solved.

Anyone have experience with solutions that works as an isolator? e.g. a USB 2.0 usb-ethernet-usb cable? I used one before but it only had USB 1.1 ability, but solved the ground loop issue.
