These are wonderful sounding monitors.  The tweeter is the same tweeter they used throughout the range including the most expensive speakers when these were produced.

I had these in my office system at work but I changed offices and a speaker-based sound system no longer works as the sound bleeds out of the office.  So, I am selling my entire office system.  I also have the XT-1 in my home setup and these X-1's are very close in performance.  

Functionally/sonically they are perfect.  Cosmetically, these have the piano black, mirror finish.  This type of finish is really hard to keep in perfect condition as they get "swirlies" if you don't use a super soft cloth.  These have some swirl marks and some smudges if you get the speakers in just the right natural daylight.  Once you get outside of natural light conditions and a few feet away, you can't really see any of the swirls or smudges.
