JPLAY for iOS Is Now Available

Hi Guys, just a quick update. The UPnP control point app I've been using for seemingly ever, is now available in the App Store! I love this app and vow to never install mconnect on my iPhone or iPad again :~)

I know @Marcin_gps and his team have been working to perfect the app for a long time. I'me very happy to see this come to fruition.

The app is well worth the $49.99 /yr price.

    Much more to come.

A fast check … not impressed at all.

    An example (one for all):

artists details for each track are totally missing

this is for JPlay app (red arrow)

    .

and this is for Lumïn app

    .

absolutely insufficient especially in relation to the cost … and Lumïn app is free …

I agree that I’m using a quite complex Minimserver configuration but it is compliant to UPNP standard and Lumïn app can render it in the right way, absolutely not the same for JPlay.

It seems JPlay is reading just one artist for the track ….

… and each entry in Lumïn app track details can be searched in the library like a real cross reference

I know the app is exciting, but perhaps you may want to give it a more thorough spin before delivering your assessment.

Did you swipe up from the now playing screen, to see the other metadata?

    @stefano_mbp

    Thanks for the feedback.

You just need to swipe up (or press on the arrow to see all the details)

Other actions are available from the context menu.

    I hope this helps

    Best regards,
    Marcin

It looks like sync process was stopped prematurely. I'd recommend running the sync again

    Best regards,

@stefano_mbp it looks like you've found some bugs :)

I've put them on the list.

    Best regards,

The number of Artists listed is the number of favorited artists. Try clicking the heart icon for an Artist, and it will show up.

can you send me one of those files. I’d love to test it in my system.

It’s not a file issue but how the app interacts with Minimserver …

Given that all my files appear perfectly, I just wanted to see how yours were different. That's all.

Cool, I will play around with this one of these days.

    Edit:

Can someone let me know if I am understanding how this works. If I have minimserver and HQPlayer Embedded running on the network, then I will be able to play both my local files, and Qobuz to HQP Embedded and use Jplay as the control point?

As I can see you have defined just one Artist, I have many for each track and I merge in Artist other tags like Soloist, Genre, Style, Work, Orchestra/Ensamble, Period and other as you can see in my previous Lumin app screenshots

    Yes.

And even better, you can choose to merge Local albums and Qobuz albums (à la Roon) , or view them seperately.

(Unfortunately experiencing some local library problems for the moment)

Any reason someone using Aurender and the conductor app would have a need / use for this app?
