Well done and well deserved. Keep up the good work, Damien. Looking forward to the plug-in support: Papa needs some digital room correction.

Indeed, to those of you had tried A+ in the past and settled on some other s/w for Mac playback, I urge you to give version 1.4.6 a spin. Use "integer Mode 1" and the iZotope upsampling engine (set to "Powers of 2" upsampling). It may be hard to go back after that. I have a great system, but A+ has been a total game changer for me.

Lost in the music in the mountains near Yosemite...

Even support for a single AU (at a time) would be a huge plus for a great player.

Consolation prize: 5-band (or more) PEQ.

@Bob (untangle): All programs I've seen that support AU plugins support multiple plugins, so I presume A+ 1.5 will too. To get N-band PEQ, you can cascade N instances of a 1-band PEQ plugin, such as the one built into OS X.

    Chris,

Please 'translate' (or Prof. Scott) for the non full English speaking members.

    Thanks,

I'm trying to learn English abbreviations, Professor. For example, sometimes is hard to me to follow: BTW, BS, WTF, FYEO, etc. etc. If I translate this to my mom (still alive) she could punish me. I was also (years light ago) a Professor, for Financial Analysis in the U.C.R. (my country main state university), and I was very proud when my students called me "Profe", the abbreviation for an "Profesor" in Spanish. Now I'm only a humble Bonsai Master, or trying to be..., but please don't call me Ma!

For the record, I am a HUGE Audirvana fan.

I have no doubt about. Who couldn't be?

    Best,

    Roch

PS/ My other problem is to follow (North) American jokes, since our (latin) sense of humor also differ.

Don't worry... I have problems following American jokes cause I speak English :-)

    Hello Damien,

Since 1.4.5 I'm a big fan, and now with 1.4.6 it's even better.

    Congrads!

Forgive my ignorance of mac things. This player appears to be software and the picture looks like a specialised piece of equipment. What is the picture of? Is it a special device that houses a Mac?

The picture shows the software's user interface which is modelled to look like a CD player or similar...

I'm using a Wyred 4 Sound Dac-2. When I try Direct, a dialog box says the device cannot be used with Direct.

    A work-a-round? Some ideas?

    Thanks,

No, the Wyred4Sound DAC2 uses an M2Tech OEM USB interface. This doesn't work with integer mode.

The only work around is to buy a USB to SPDIF (or maybe USB to I2S with your DAC) which works using USB Core 2.0 Audio drivers.
