Death By Misadventure

curmudgeon

So we learn from the British press this morning that Amy Winehouse's death was by alcohol poisoning. Characterized by the Brit coroner as "death by misadventure." (Can't help but also think of Janis Joplin ...)

I listened to my own CD-ripped 16-bit version on the Sansa while walking to work but here are a couple of video clips to give you a taste of her stunning Back to Black, higher-def versions of which you will want to hear with your best rig. A quick Googling shows me that there are 24-bit vinyl rip torrents floating around, but I wonder if any legal 24-bit versions have been published?

I've been waiting for the "official" cause of death to be released. Misadventure is a most interesting descriptor.

Thanks for the links.

Here is one of the videos. The other one doesn't allow embedding.

Would that be the B-Sides? No, I know these exist, but never got around to getting my hands ... er, ears ... on them. I think I will remedy that soon!

Yes, the B-Sides for those more learned in what a B-Side actually is :~) I used to call them B-Sides until a few people looked at me like I was an alien as they had no idea what I was talking about. Now I just cal is disc 2 on the Import version (here in the U.S.).

Anyway, let me know what you think if you pick up the tracks.
