V1.4.2A 10 May 2020 Installing on Linux should be very simple... 1) Install SOX (latest version) to get realtime play and other nice features 2) The DA/FA should be easy to install -- just put it in your path. It needs libz, libcrypt -- so, those packages will likely be installed on most systems where there is some development being done or security needs. This version will utilize a DA license file, but it isn't really needed for consumers -- NO ONE has pure DolbyA material, except recording pros. ----------------------------------------------------- To unpack a directory containing the Linux binary, which DOES require AVX2 (i4xxx Intel, Zen, other recent AMD) for the da-avx version, or the slower da-sse3 version for older machines with only SSE3, just do the following: > tar xovf da-V1.4.2A-Linux.txz Will then create a directory containing the binary. You can run the binary from anywhere... Chose da-sse3 for older machines, da-avx for newer, AVX2 machines. Have fun during disassembly -- I cannot even figure it out :-). John
