Is it possible to have a better description of the improvements of this new Signature SE D ? https://sonore.us/Signature-Rendu-SE.html My understanding is this unit is a normal opticalRendu + @barrows PS design. Has the opticalRendu changed lately, and what is those differences to previous version ? Is it only a better PS design that applies ?

All the time 😂 In my case I suspected my Roon server, or network/switch where Roon server is. So I tested Roon installed different place and used RAAT without HQplayer. This seems to eliminate my issues. Maybe you can try something similar. I haven’t yet concluded. These investigations is very time consuming. If you want more help, you should draw your network, and post.

Sounds like these 10GB eye patterns then only make a selection of a certain voltage level. Correct ? Why are they only defined in a standard for 10GB, and not for 1GB ? But then fiber shouldn’t need voltage levels and eye patterns, but fiber to my knowledge has eye patterns. So maybe the measurement is taken somewhere else on the PCB ? I assume in the end these voltage levels use same clock anyway.

There’s a new firmware update for the Mikrotik CSS610-8G-2S+IN switch that many of us have. I haven’t tested yet, but force speed was one improvement. Instead of auto negotiating. Most interesting to test if 10GB SFP modules now can be set to 1GB. This didn’t work well before. Those instructions won’t work. They don’t explain how to upgrade. You even get an error message. See picture. As explained before, the fingerprint isn’t enough in order to purchase an upgrade. It seems a guy named Aapo, not @Miska is the key to solve this. How can I get in contact with Aapo? Well I try the suggested email, and report back.

You just need to upgrade to 2.9. Then it’s solved in your specific case. Agree ?

Yes, you must contact SGCin order to get the 2.9. I did. The normal procedure is send in the unit, and pay $100 plus’s shipping. When it come to HQplayer upgrading, I have as many questions as most others. I expect they’re working on this issue. I suspect only 2.9 will work with 5.5.0. That’s fine. The big question is how to get the discounted upgrade without a file. Or do you happen to have a file ? What was the price with discount in $ without tax ?
